Nickerson Lake Wilderness Preservation, Inc.

NLWP was formed in 1983 for the purpose of managing  90 acres of forestland and nearly one mile of Nickerson Lake shoreline which had been bequeathed by James Pierce.  Since that time and only with the help of generous donors, an additional 143 acres and 3/4 mile of shoreline have been added, to be kept "forever wild".  The by-laws have also been changed to include protection of the lake's waters as well as the land around it. Click here for a map of property owned by NLWP.

The only requirements for full membership in NLWP are that you own property on the shore of Nickerson Lake and that your dues are paid.

If you do not own property on the shore of Nickerson Lake but would like to support the activities of NLWP, please consider becoming an honorary member by paying the $35 annual dues.  You will be placed on the mailing list and can attend (but not vote at) any meeting of the general membership.
